I'am Cuban and have been here for a long time now. I left when I was 13 years old at the end of 1960. I despise the Castro regime. I have never gone back, send no money and live for the day he is gone. But I believe in the freedom I have found here and will honor and protect it. One of these important freedoms is freedom of expression. I would never try to keep this book out of the library. The way to fight infamy is with truth and not supression. We as Cubans should really know that well. The way to deal with this is to openly have programs that educate in the errors in the book. The best way to deal with it is with educating our children with the truth and comparing the reality of Cuba today with the fantasy proclaimed in the book. This is how we truly win. Castro loves the controvery os banning the book...we are giving him what he wants! What we need to do is compare the truth and reality of life there with the way it is portrayed in the....

Soy cubana y americana ...and proud of it...I am no victim!

It is very sad that the gentleman thinks that the comments are by anti Cubans. That is not so! I am a Cuban. I am for freedom of expression! One good thing that can happen from this book is to show it for what it is! A pack of lies! If you suppress it instead of fighting it with the truth of the reality of Cuba then you are allowing here exactly what you oppose in Cuba. We must value and support the freedom of expression here. What is needed is a proper forum were knowledgeable people talk about this book page by page and counter it with photos, articles, interviews that show the real oppressive Cuba and not the make believe wonderful place to visit or live in that the book describes. Get real....fight clean, fight openly, fight with truth!
